Komodo boat trip reviews: where each quote on this page comes from
Updated 11 October 2026
Two kinds of voice appear here, and each is labelled. Five-star reviews from Google or Tripadvisor of PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia's Komodo trips, cut to a short excerpt, signed with a first name and linked to the original. And WhatsApp messages from guests, shown with their consent and marked as WhatsApp messages. King Cirox 2 was finished in 2025, so most quotes describe the operator's other sailings, and we say so.

Two platforms, one rule
The reviews come from two places: the operator's Google Business profile and its Tripadvisor listing. Both are public, both carry dates, and both let you read the full review behind every excerpt we show.
The third source is WhatsApp. A guest's thank-you message appears only with the guest's consent, carries the label WhatsApp message, and is not a platform review: it has no star rating and no link to click.
The rule for using them fits in one line: if we cannot point to the source, it does not appear. No quote is written by us, polished by us or pieced together from two guests, and a WhatsApp message is shown as it was sent. An excerpt runs to 40 words at most, keeps the guest's own wording, and carries a first name only, or ‘Tripadvisor guest’ where the reviewer gave none.
We show five-star reviews that appear once. Some reviews turn up word for word on both platforms under two different names; those are left off this page entirely, whichever version is genuine, because a quote we cannot vouch for is worse than no quote.
The rating and the count beside each platform's name are copied as we saw them, with the date. Click through and you see the current figure, which may have moved since.
A young boat, and the desk behind it
King Cirox 2 was built in 2024 and finished in 2025. A boat that young has had few seasons in which to collect reviews of her own.
So be clear about what you are reading. Most quotes below describe trips sold and run by PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia on other boats: the same booking desk, the same pickup between 10:00 and 11:00, the same park routes past Padar, Pink Beach and Kalong. They tell you how the desk answers, how the day runs and how the operator handles a problem. They do not tell you how Gresik's bunks feel or how hot the roof deck gets at noon.
A review that names a different boat is never shown here. When a guest writes about King Cirox 2 by name, that review goes to the top.
For the boat itself, the photographs, from the red hull to the black rain showers, the list of what is fitted and the cabins page are the better evidence until the reviews catch up.
“Freedivers, listen up: the visibility was absolutely insane — 30+ metres on good days. Taka Makassar was my favourite, white sand bottom at 15 m that looks like a desert paradise underwater.”
“We watched the most gorgeous sunset while thousands of flying foxes (kalong) started flying above us against the orange sky. The crew knew exactly where to position the boat for the best view.”
“We saw not one, not two, but seven manta rays swimming together and I got to swim right among them. One passed maybe 2 metres below me and I could see every detail of its pattern.”
“If anyone asks me for a recommendation, I will be more than happy to recommend your agency. You provided us with a great experience and we will remember it with a smile. Warm greetings from Slovenia!”
“Hands down the best tour I've joined in 6 months of travelling Southeast Asia — not too fancy, not too basic, just right. Sleeping on deck under stars was a major highlight. Worth every penny of my tight budget.”
“Very good boat, good experience, and fulfilled my dream to see a Komodo dragon.”
“Thanks so much for your help yesterday – we are on the boat and on our way to Padar. Very excited!”
“Pengalaman yang luar biasa!”
“Thanks a lot, your hospitality and customer care is appreciated.”
“Loved the experience — the team and crew are the best.”
“We did everything — paddleboard at sunrise, snorkel with sea turtles and manta rays with the love of my life by my side. The mantas were the grand finale — massive, elegant, just cruisin by.”
“Pink Beach was our favourite spot — the pink sand against that crazy blue water. On the anjungan (front deck) we got gorgeous photos with the sail and open sea behind us.”
“They made our 2nd anniversary absolutely perfect. We got to stand just metres away from an actual Komodo dragon — the ranger was right there. The crew even played our song while we watched the sun go down.”
Google 4.8/5 (19) · TripAdvisor 4.7/5 (14) · Ratings and counts copied from each platform on 11 October 2026. They describe trips that PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia ran on several boats, not King Cirox 2 alone, which was finished in 2025. Each excerpt is short and links to its original, and a review we cannot trace to its source is never shown. WhatsApp messages carry their own label.
What this page does not show
This page leaves out three kinds of review, and you should know which.
- One- to four-star reviews. We show five-star reviews only. The platforms show everything, including lower scores. Read them there; the links are beside each quote.
- Duplicates. A review that appears on both platforms under different names is left out, as explained above.
- Messages we have no consent for. Guests write thank-you notes on WhatsApp. The ones shown on this page are shown with the guest's consent and labelled as WhatsApp messages, with a first name and a country and nothing else; every other message stays in its thread.
Checking a quote, or adding yours
Every quote links to the review it came from. If a link breaks, or a guest removes a review on the platform, the quote comes off this page at the next rebuild of the site.
If one of the quotes is yours and you would rather it were not here, send a line to sales@kingcirox.com or the WhatsApp number you booked on, and we take it down. You do not need to give a reason.
After your own trip on King Cirox 2, the most useful review names the boat, the cabin and the month: ‘Kediri, October, 3D2N’ tells the next guest more than five adjectives do. Write it on Google or Tripadvisor, in your own words.
The operator's registration details sit below, so you can check who you are reviewing.

FAQ
Do the quotes on this page describe King Cirox 2 itself?
Mostly not yet: King Cirox 2 was finished in 2025, so most quotes describe the operator's other trips, and reviews naming King Cirox 2 go first.
Why do you show five-star reviews only?
It is the display rule we chose for this site, and we would rather state it than hide it. The full range, low scores included, stays one click away: every Google and Tripadvisor review here links straight to its source. Read both before you pay a 50 per cent deposit to anyone, us included, and judge us on the terms we publish.
I left a review but cannot find it here. Why?
Three reasons are possible. It scored under five stars; it appears word for word on both platforms under different names; or it names another boat, which this site never shows. Write to sales@kingcirox.com if none of these fits and we check it.
Are WhatsApp messages from guests ever quoted?
Yes, with the guest's written consent, labelled as a WhatsApp message and signed with a first name and a country, never a phone number, a surname or a photo. Without that consent, a thank-you message stays in the thread it was sent in, between the guest and the King Cirox 2 desk.
