King Cirox 2 Phinisi
Komodo 2 days 1 night on King Cirox 2: as a private charter, or as the first half of the open trip
Updated 11 October 2026
There are two ways to spend 2D1N on King Cirox 2. Charter the whole boat from IDR 37,500,000 (≈ USD 2,301) for up to five guests, or take a bunk or cabin on the Monday or Friday open trip and leave after day two, from IDR 2,900,000 (≈ USD 178). Day one is Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong; day two reaches Padar and the dragons.
Day one: Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong
Both versions of the 2D1N share day one, and it opens with a pickup from your hotel or the airport. On the open trip that pickup falls between 10:00 and 11:00; on a charter we set the time with you.
The first stop is Kelor, a small hilly island where a short, steep climb ends at a viewpoint over the bay. Wear shoes with grip. After lunch the boat moves to Manjarite, where a long wooden pier runs out over the reef and you snorkel from it. The open-trip version adds Strawberry Rock, the pinkish-red stones, when the conditions allow it; the booklet marks that stop as conditional.
The day ends at Kalong. Thousands of fruit bats roost in its mangroves and leave in a long stream once the sun has gone down, so the show starts about fifteen minutes after sunset and you watch it from the deck. You do not land.
Dinner is served at the dining table that evening. The night is spent on board, at anchor or under way, depending on the weather and the captain's decision that day.

Day 2
| What happens | Sailing from previous stop | Have ready | |

| · | Komodo Island trek | 60–90 min | |

| · | Snorkelling at Manta Point Tide | 45–75 min | reef-safe sunscreen |
| · | Back in Labuan Bajo, drop-off | — |
Treat the times as planning figures, not a timetable; the sea sets the real ones. The pickup is the one time we hold ourselves to.
Day two: Padar, dragons, pink sand
Day two carries the stops most people come for, four of them on the charter version. After breakfast on board you climb Padar, the ridge with the view over three bays. Then Komodo Island, for a ranger walk where the dragons live. After lunch, snorkelling at Pink Beach, where crushed red coral tints the sand pale pink, and then Manta Point, where the boat drifts snorkellers along the reef with the current.
Open-trip guests on the 2D1N follow the open trip's own day two. The park caps daily visitors at its busiest sites, so the booklet prints two pairs for that day, Padar or Gili Lawa and Komodo village or Rinca: choose one of each, subject to quota availability. You state your preference at booking; if the quota for that site is full on the day, you visit the other. Pink Beach or Namong and Manta Point follow. You finish at Manta Point and do not continue to Taka Makassar; a small transfer boat takes you from there to the pier in Labuan Bajo.
The table below lists every leg with its range in minutes. On a 2D1N charter, guests fly the day after the trip ends.

Two ways to pay for two days
The open-trip 2D1N is priced per person, cabin by cabin. A Gresik bunk is IDR 2,900,000 (≈ USD 178); a place in Surabaya, Kediri or Jember is IDR 3,900,000 (≈ USD 239); Malang is IDR 4,750,000 (≈ USD 291) and Madiun IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307). Against the full 3D2N, the bunk saves you the difference between IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206) and IDR 2,900,000 (≈ USD 178). That is the price of the third day, Seture and the morning return.
The charter 2D1N is priced per boat, by band: IDR 37,500,000 (≈ USD 2,301) for five or fewer, IDR 40,500,000 (≈ USD 2,485) for six to ten, IDR 44,000,000 (≈ USD 2,699) for eleven to fifteen, plus IDR 1,750,000 (≈ USD 107) for each guest above fifteen. The 2027 booklet prints IDR 39,500,000 (≈ USD 2,423) for the smallest band, from January to July 2027.
The open trip includes a local guide and photo and video documentation. The charter does not, though either can be added for a separate fee. Neither version covers the park: IDR 250,000 a day for each foreign visitor, plus the rangers.
For two travellers the open trip is the cheaper door onto the boat. For a group of fifteen the charter comes close to the bunk: IDR 2,930,000 (≈ USD 180) each.

What one night leaves behind
One night buys you the park's three big things, the ridge, the dragons and the reefs, but not at an easy pace. Day two of the charter version puts four stops into one day, and it leaves out Taka Makassar, which the 3D2N open-trip day two keeps after Manta Point.
The third day of the 3D2N, a morning at Seture and the return between 10:00 and 11:00, is the part the 2D1N removes entirely. So is the second evening on board.
If you have three days, take three. If you have two, the 2D1N is the most you can fit, and the open-trip version gets you there for the price of a bunk.
Whichever version you pick, the bats at Kalong fill the first evening, so no 2D1N misses them. Then send us your dates.
FAQ
How do 2D1N open-trip guests get back to Labuan Bajo?
By a small transfer boat from Manta Point to the pier in Labuan Bajo, after day two. Plan your hotel night in town around it.
Do we stop at Kalong on a 2D1N?
Yes, at the end of day one, for the bats after sunset.
Is a 2D1N worth it compared with three days?
It is if two days is what you have. You see Kelor, Kalong, Padar or Gili Lawa, the dragons, Pink Beach and Manta Point. You lose the third morning at Seture and the slower pace. On the bunk the saving is the gap between IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206) and IDR 2,900,000 (≈ USD 178); decide whether that day is worth it to you.
Can I book the 2D1N in a private cabin?
Yes, every cabin has a 2D1N fare, sold for two paying guests at least: IDR 3,900,000 (≈ USD 239) each in Surabaya, Kediri or Jember, IDR 4,750,000 (≈ USD 291) in Malang and IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) in Madiun. The bunk is the only fare sold one bed at a time.
