King Cirox 2 Phinisi
Komodo boat trip by occasion: match the reason you travel to a cabin on King Cirox 2
Updated 11 October 2026
Twelve occasion guides for King Cirox 2 Phinisi, each answering the same three questions: which cabin or whole-boat band fits, what it costs, and what this boat does not offer for that trip. Fares run from IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206) for a Gresik bunk to IDR 57,000,000 (≈ USD 3,497) for the whole boat with up to fifteen guests on 3D2N.
Start from the reason
Twelve guides sit below, one per reason for travelling. Each is written for someone who knows why they are going and needs to know which door on King Cirox 2 to book. Every guide ends with a price in figures and with the limits that matter for that kind of trip.
The guides fall into three groups.
- For two: honeymoon, couples, luxury. These turn on the two balcony cabins, Malang and Madiun, and on the wooden tub that only Madiun has.
- For many: family, groups, corporate, graduation. Here the berth tally decides, 23 beds at most, along with the whole-boat guest bands.
- For one purpose: solo, budget, photography, adventure, diving. The Gresik bunk, the snorkel kit and the route matter most in these.
Read the one that fits you first. If two apply, a couple who also photograph, or a solo traveller on a budget, read both; the facts never contradict each other, because they all come from the same booklets and the same rate sheet. Pick your guide from the grid below.
- Komodo honeymoon boat: Madiun's balcony, the tub and what two people pay

Per person or per boat
Whatever the occasion, the money works one of two ways. The open trip sells the boat by the person: a cabin or a bunk on a fixed 3D2N sailing every Monday & Friday, from IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206) for a Gresik bunk to IDR 5,400,000 (≈ USD 331) per person in Madiun. A private cabin needs at least two paying guests. The fare includes pickup, meals, a local guide and a documentation crew.
The private charter sells the whole boat by the guest band: one to five, six to ten, eleven to fifteen, then a fee per extra guest up to 23. A 3D2N for up to five is IDR 47,500,000 (≈ USD 2,914). You choose the start day and the length, from a full day to 5D4N. The guide and the photo crew are not in a charter price; both are quoted separately on request.
Small parties tend to save on the open trip and big ones on the charter. Each occasion guide shows where that line falls for its own group size. The compass below has the next dates and prices.
Open trips sail every Monday and Friday, except dates held by a private charter.
When this boat is the wrong answer
Three occasions need a warning before you open their guides. Divers will not find a compressor or tanks on board: King Cirox 2 is a snorkelling boat, and the diving guide explains how to add dive days around it. Guests looking for a five-star yacht will find a phinisi from 2024, finished in 2025, instead, and the guide for that search says so in its first paragraph.
And a solo traveller who wants a private cabin pays for two places, because every private cabin is sold for two paying guests at least. The bunk in Gresik is the one-person fare.
Every occasion runs into two limits. Park entry, at IDR 250,000 per foreign guest each day, sits outside every fare, and so do the rangers. And the decks are reached by stairs, with no lift. If neither of those stops you, one of the twelve guides will fit. The fit list below sets out the rest in one place; read it, then open your guide.
Who this boat suits
- Solo travellers who want to pay for one bed: a Gresik bunk is sold on its own at IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206), with no empty second place to cover.
- Couples who want a balcony: Malang has one, and Madiun adds a wooden bathtub in the open air.
- Families of four: Malang, Kediri and Madiun each take a double bed plus extra beds, and children under 3 travel free.
- Groups of up to 23 who take all 6 cabins of a 24.8 m phinisi with 6 crew as a private charter.
- Guests who need to stay reachable: Starlink Wi-Fi on board is printed in the boat's booklets, with no promise of speed.
Who it does not suit
- Divers who need tanks and a compressor aboard: this is a snorkel boat.
- Snorkellers who expect fins in the kit: the boat carries a mask and a snorkel only.
- Charter groups who need a private bathroom for every guest: Gresik's four bunks share one.
- Guests who need a lift or stabilisers: stairs join the two decks and the roof, and no stabilisers are listed.
Who this boat does not suit
- You book Gresik expecting a private cabin: it is a four-bunk room with a shared bathroom.
- You travel alone and want a private cabin at a one-person fare: private cabins are sold for two paying guests at least; your per-bed option is a Gresik bunk.
- You need an open-trip start on a day other than Monday or Friday: open-trip starts are Mondays and Fridays; sailings outside Monday and Friday run on request, so ask us on WhatsApp; and a few dates are taken by private charters.
FAQ
Is there an occasion surcharge for a honeymoon or a birthday?
No surcharge is printed. Decoration, a cake or a private dinner are services quoted in writing on request; nothing is added to your fare without that quote.
Can two occasions share one open-trip sailing?
Yes. A honeymoon couple in Madiun, a family in Kediri and four solo travellers in the Gresik bunks can all be on the same Monday & Friday departure, each paying their own cabin fare. What they share is the dining table, the roof deck, the nets and the route. If your occasion needs the boat to itself, that is a whole-boat charter instead, priced by guest band rather than by cabin.
What is the cheapest way aboard for any occasion?
One bunk in Gresik: IDR 3,350,000 (≈ USD 206) for 3D2N or IDR 2,900,000 (≈ USD 178) for 2D1N, with a shared bathroom.
Which occasions suit the whole-boat charter best?
Groups, corporate teams, graduation classes and large families. From about ten guests the per-head charter price comes close to the open-trip fares, and you choose the date.
