For a honeymoon on King Cirox 2 Phinisi, book Madiun: an upper-deck cabin with its own balcony and an open-air wooden bathtub, at IDR 5,400,000 (≈ USD 331) per person for three days on the open trip. Malang, one deck down, has the only other balcony at IDR 5,150,000 (≈ USD 316) each. Want nobody else aboard? The whole boat for two costs IDR 47,500,000 (≈ USD 2,914).

Check Madiun's dates Compare the two balconies

Two keys with a balcony

Of the 6 doors on this boat, two open onto a balcony: Malang and Madiun. Only one of those balconies carries a bathtub. The tub is Madiun's, a wooden tub in the open air on the balcony.

Madiun sits on the upper deck. It has a window wall, a wooden floor and a double bed. Malang is on the main deck; its balcony is a covered stretch of side deck with two grey bean bags and a white rail. No table. No chairs. Both cabins have a private bathroom with a black rain shower and a small window.

Both cabins are air-conditioned, with sockets, towels and linen. On the open trip Malang costs IDR 5,150,000 (≈ USD 316) per person and Madiun IDR 5,400,000 (≈ USD 331), for two paying guests at least.

What two people pay

The open-trip fare is per person, so a couple pays it twice. In Madiun that is IDR 5,400,000 (≈ USD 331) each for three days and two nights; in Malang, IDR 5,150,000 (≈ USD 316) each. On the 2D1N version of the same sailing, Madiun costs IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) and Malang IDR 4,750,000 (≈ USD 291) per person. Departures run every Monday & Friday, and the pickup comes to your hotel between 10:00 and 11:00.

The other route is the whole boat. With five or fewer aboard, the 3D2N charter is IDR 47,500,000 (≈ USD 2,914), which works out at IDR 23,750,000 (≈ USD 1,457) each for two of you. That buys all 6 cabins, the dining room, the roof deck and the bow nets with no other guests aboard, and a start day you choose instead of a Monday or a Friday.

The sum is short. Take twice the Madiun fare, set it against the whole-boat price, and the gap is what privacy costs. Park entry, charged to foreign visitors at IDR 250,000 each per day, sits outside both figures. Read both numbers in the table below, then pick your date.

On a shared sailing

With the open trip, the other five cabins go to other travellers. Meals are served at the dining-room table, with the dishes set down the middle to share. You share the roof deck, the nets and, after dinner, the karaoke. The balcony is yours. The rest of the boat is common ground.

Honeymoon extras are services, not fare items. A private dinner on an island, a seafood dinner, cabin decoration or a cake for the table are arranged on request and quoted in writing within hours; nothing reaches your bill without that written quote.

Photographs are easier on the open trip than you would expect from a shared boat. The documentation crew, with a GoPro, a mirrorless camera and a drone, is part of the open-trip fare, and so is the tenun ikat cloth guests borrow for pictures. On a whole-boat charter neither the guide nor the photo crew is included, though either can be booked on request and priced on its own. Decide which matters more to you, privacy or the camera crew, and book the version that carries it.

Departure calendar

Which month for a honeymoon?

Calm water does more for a honeymoon than anything we can put in a cabin. Across the park, five months are calm: April to June, October and November; January, February, July and August are the rough ones. The wet season, December to March, brings heavy showers and some of the best manta months.

Day one of every open trip ends at Kalong Island, where you watch the fruit bats stream out of the mangroves from the deck. Sunset there falls at about 17:49 in May and 17:55 in October. Day two starts with Padar or Gili Lawa, whichever you pick at booking if the quota allows, then the dragons, Pink Beach and the snorkelling stops.

If the wedding fixes your dates, check that month's row before choosing between the open trip and the whole boat. A rough month is a reason to look at the main deck: by the general rule, the upper deck moves more, so Malang rides easier than Madiun. Send us the wedding date and we reply with the departures that fit it.

FAQ

Where is the bathtub?

On Madiun's balcony, in the open air: a wooden bathtub on the upper deck. Malang's balcony has no tub; the tub is Madiun's.

Will anyone else be put in our cabin on the open trip?

No. Madiun and Malang are private cabins sold for at least two paying guests; as a couple you are those two guests, and the door is yours for both nights. Extra beds in those cabins exist for families of up to four, not for strangers.

Is a honeymoon set-up part of the fare?

No. Decoration, a cake, a private island dinner or a seafood dinner are services on request. Each is quoted in writing within hours, with the price stated before anything is added. The fare itself covers the cabin, all meals, free-flow water, tea and coffee, the guide and the photo crew on the open trip.

Which balcony cabin moves less?

Malang. By the general deck rule, a cabin on the main deck moves less than one on the upper deck, where Madiun sits. That rule is a pattern for boats of this layout, not a measurement taken on King Cirox 2. If you get seasick easily, take Malang; if the tub decides it, take Madiun.

Can we stay longer than three days?

Yes, as a whole-boat charter: 4D3N is IDR 58,500,000 (≈ USD 3,589) and 5D4N is IDR 65,500,000 (≈ USD 4,018) for one to five guests. The open trip runs only as 3D2N, with a 2D1N option on the same sailing.
