The King Cirox 2 open trip leaves Labuan Bajo every Monday & Friday for three days and two nights; the next start is Monday, 12 October 2026. Pickup falls between 10:00 and 11:00, and day three has you back in town in that same late-morning hour. Arrive the day before; fly out after 14:00. 2027 dates are bookable now.

Monday in, Wednesday out

A Monday start ends on Wednesday; a Friday start ends on Sunday. The pattern is that simple, because every open trip on King Cirox 2 is a 3D2N.

On the start date a car collects you from your hotel, or from LBJ if you fly in that morning, between 10:00 and 11:00. The guide confirms the exact time the day before, so keep your phone on that evening. From the harbour you sail straight to Kelor, the first stop. Bags go down to the cabins; the roof deck, with its bean bags on green turf, is the place to sit out the run.

On day three, after a morning at Seture, the boat is due back in Labuan Bajo in the same hour the pickup ran. That leaves the afternoon free for a flight, which is why we say 14:00 or later.

If you take the 2D1N option you board the same sailing at the same pickup and leave after day two, so a Monday guest is done on Tuesday and a Friday guest on Saturday. You finish at Manta Point, and a small transfer boat takes you from there to the pier in Labuan Bajo. The fare drops to IDR 2,900,000 (≈ USD 178) for a bunk.

Nights are spent on board, at anchor or under way, depending on the weather and the captain's decision that day. Nothing about the start date changes that, and nothing on this page promises otherwise.

The calendar

The calendar shows every open-trip start from today, 127 start dates to the end of 2027, with the 2027 dates listed as provisional. A date on it is a sailing, not a promise that the cabin you want is still free.

The calendar has one gap worth knowing about. A date drops off the calendar when the whole boat is taken on a private charter. Open-trip starts are Mondays and Fridays. Sailings outside Monday and Friday run on request; ask us on WhatsApp. Otherwise the rhythm holds: Monday, Friday, Monday, Friday, through to the end of December.

The 2027 dates follow the same pattern and are shown as provisional. A handful of them are confirmed in the boat's own schedule, and the full list comes later; when it does, we replace the provisional dates with the confirmed ones. The 2027 open-trip fares are not out yet either, so a 2027 date sells today at the current list; if the price moves before your balance falls due, we tell you first and you may cancel at no cost.

The day before, and the last afternoon

Arrive in Labuan Bajo one day before your start date. We advise it because flights into Komodo Airport are cancelled or delayed often enough that a same-morning arrival puts a 10:00 pickup at risk. One hotel night is cheaper than one missed boat.

For the trip home, pick a flight that departs after 14:00 on day three. The boat is due in during the late morning, and the airport is a short drive from the harbour, but the sea sets the arrival time, not the timetable.

Write down three things before you book: the date you land, the hotel, and the time your flight home leaves. Send them with your first message and we can check the whole chain at once.

Holding a bunk, and changing the date

A bunk or a cabin is yours once 50 per cent of the fare has landed. The rest falls due 30 days before the start date; book later than that and you pay in full straight away.

Swapping your Friday for a later Monday costs nothing at 30 days or more. At 14 to 29 days the swap costs IDR 500,000. At 13 days or fewer it is treated as a cancellation, not a swap.

Cancellations follow the same scale for every booking: 50 per cent back at 60 days or more, 25 per cent between 30 and 59 days, nothing inside 30 days.

An open-trip departure sails once at least four cabins are booked. If a date does not reach four, the guests booked on it move to a phinisi of the same class or higher on the same dates at no extra cost, or receive a full refund within 14 days.

A boat that cannot sail is a different case. If a breakdown, or a harbour-master or park order, keeps the boat in port on your date, you sail the same dates on another phinisi of the same class or higher at no extra cost, or take your money back in full within 14 days.

Are 2027 open-trip dates bookable now?

Yes. The 2027 Monday and Friday dates are open at the current fare list. If the 2027 fare differs before your balance is due, you hear it from us first and may cancel without paying anything.

Can I start on a day other than Monday or Friday?

Open-trip starts are Mondays and Fridays. Sailings outside Monday and Friday run on request; ask us on WhatsApp. If your week does not fit, a private charter starts on the day you choose, from IDR 30,750,000 (≈ USD 1,887) for a full day.

What time should my flight home leave?

After 14:00 on day three.

How do I know which cabins are still free on a date?

Ask us. The calendar shows the sailing, not which bunks and cabins on it are already sold, and a busy date can come down to one Gresik bunk or a single private cabin for two. Send us the date and tell us whether you need a bunk or a cabin, and we reply with what is actually free, by city name.

Is pickup at the same time on every departure?

The window is always 10:00 to 11:00. The guide confirms your exact time the day before.

Are 2027 dates open for booking now?

Yes. The 2027 open-trip dates are on the calendar, on the boat's Monday and Friday sailings, and any 2027 date can be reserved for a private charter. Charters from 1 January to 31 July 2027 use the 2027 rate card on this site; later 2027 dates are confirmed in writing before any deposit.
