Sebayur Island: a beach-and-reef stop on day three of the King Cirox 2 charter
Updated 11 October 2026
Sebayur is a beach-and-reef island near Flores, with coral at 2 to 10 metres in a mild current and no dragons. On King Cirox 2 Phinisi it appears only on the 3D2N private charter, on the morning of day three before Kanawa and Labuan Bajo. The open trip's day three goes to Seture instead. A 3D2N charter for up to five costs IDR 47,500,000 (≈ USD 2,914).
Outside the dragon area
Sebayur is not a dragon island. It lies outside the dragon trekking area. Its reefs sit at 2 to 10 metres, and this is a stop for the water, not for wildlife walks. What it has is water and sand: beaches, and reefs close to them, with a mild current that suits most snorkellers. Allow 45 to 90 minutes in the water.
The island in question is the larger of the Sebayur islands, close to the Flores coast. From Labuan Bajo it is 1.5 to 2 hours by boat, and on this boat's routes it is a stop on the way home.
Treat it as the slow morning of a charter. No climb, no current to fight, nothing to rush. A swim off the beach, a snorkel along the reef, and back on board to the roof-deck bean bags before the last two stops. The site table has the depth, current and crowd months.

Charter day three only
One route on King Cirox 2 includes Sebayur: the 3D2N as printed in the private-charter booklet. Its day three runs Sebayur, then Kanawa, then Labuan Bajo. The leg from Sebayur to Kanawa is 30 to 60 minutes by our estimate, and from Kanawa to the harbour 60 to 90 minutes.
The open trip prints a different day three. It goes to Seture for a beach and a snorkel and returns to Labuan Bajo by late morning, so open-trip guests do not see Sebayur. The 4D3N and 5D4N do not include it either; they spend their later days at Gili Lawa, Siaba, Kanawa, Seture and, on the 5D4N, Rangko Cave and Sabolon.
So if Sebayur is on your list, you book the whole boat. A 3D2N charter costs IDR 47,500,000 (≈ USD 2,914) for up to five guests and IDR 51,000,000 (≈ USD 3,129) for six to ten. A charter leaves out the guide and the camera crew, which we quote separately. Every band, on both rate cards, is in the price block below.

Before you swim
The kit on board has two pieces: mask and snorkel. Fins are not carried, so bring your own or rent them in Labuan Bajo before the trip starts.
Reef-safe sunscreen goes on before you get in, not after. A rash vest helps on a long snorkel at midday. If anyone in your group is a nervous swimmer, there are life jackets aboard, and the mild current at Sebayur makes it one of the easier places on the routes to use one.
Island dinners are a separate matter. A beach or seafood dinner on an island is a service we arrange on request and quote in writing within hours; it is not part of any printed route, Sebayur included. If you want one on your charter, say so with your dates and we tell you where and how. The compass below gives the next open-trip dates if you would rather compare.
Open trips sail every Monday and Friday, except dates held by a private charter.
FAQ
Can open-trip guests visit Sebayur?
No. The open trip's day three goes to Seture; Sebayur is on the private-charter 3D2N only.
How far is Sebayur from Labuan Bajo?
About 1.5 to 2 hours by boat.
Can Sebayur be added to a 4D3N charter?
The 4D3N route, as the boat's booklet prints it: Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong; Padar, Komodo and Pink Beach; Gili Lawa, Manta Point, Taka Makassar and Siaba; then Kanawa and Seture. The booklet notes that the itinerary may change with the sea, the weather and agreement on board. If you want Sebayur on a longer charter, ask in writing with your booking; we put the question to the captain and give you the answer before the deposit, not after you have sailed.
Is there a beach dinner at Sebayur?
Not as part of the route. Island and seafood dinners are services on request, quoted in writing within hours.
